Welcome to the Connecticut Grand Chapter

Greetings Sisters and Brothers!

Here in Connecticut, after a long-anticipated wait, the Memory Makers Grand Family has finally been Installed and with our big enthusiastic hearts are ready to begin our year. We lost a very special lady last year who was looking forward to this journey. This year will be dedicated to realizing her dreams. That being said, this year, through Charity, Relief and Loving Kindness, our aim will be to help others who are not able to help themselves. Our Motto: Kindness matters to everyone. We are not just an organization - but a way of life. We realize our world during the past year and a half has been turned upside down and there are many that are still struggling. “Kindness costs nothing yet it changes lives. There is no greater currency in the world than kindness.”

Our International service focus is on Service Dogs, which we are supporting in Connecticut by raising funds and awareness for the Connecticut Police Work Dogs Association. Our special projects this year will be to benefit Masonicare Quality of Life, Youth Scholarships, Tabs for Tots for the Shriners Hospitals, Toys for St. Mary’s Hospital, Rainbow and DeMolay, and in memory of Suzanne, the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Our calendar of activities in is progress. Once completed, it will be posted on the CTOES Website. Please check the calendar of activities and the Forms and Flyers page for special events. Sign up for the Star Matters newsletter to receive updates and member information throughout the year. Sign up is easy on the CTOES webpage. We look forward to seeing you in our travels and hearing your news!

We are excited to be cautiously moving forward and returning to some sort of normalcy in our lives. What that will be is still to be determined, but we know we can make adaptations when needed and we will always find away to be together and help each other.

We will leave you with this quote from Robert Frost:

“In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: it goes on.”
